The Beach Cabin

After elaborate scheming I managed to figure out some crazy trades at work and Mark and I took off for a four-day weekend (two of which would be spent driving). We were off to Astoria to visit the Fretts' Family Cabin. One of the passes was closed for construction so we took some other one and there was a whole lot of snow for the middle of the summer.
The main reason for going was to help with the rebuilding of the bathroom.
Mark built this cabinet for the new sink which fit perfectly!

However, I mostly took pictures of the dogs because they are just so damn cute! They had so much fun swimming,
chasing,

(the neighbor 'kids' came over to play),

rolling,

pontificating out into the horizon,
and even resting.

Mark spent a lot of time working on fixing up the bathroom with his Steve,

(I helped once)

...while Lori and I enjoyed some girl time and playing with the puppies.

Later, Mark and I snuck away for a quiet walk with the boys

Hanz chased the geese, the geese teased Hanz
We hope to make another visit or two this summer to help out with cleaning and enjoy the beauty that engulfs the cabin.
Thank you Fretts for allowing me to be apart of the beauty!

This was the best self portriat we could manage.
