The Highlind Learning Center

On 1st and Vine in Cheney, Washington sat a red roofed learning center which provided care and education for over 30 children ages 2 weeks to 6 years, employed 8 teachers and put food on the table for the family of 6 who owned the center (the business not the building). Unfortunately on April 2nd the building owners closed the doors for unprecedented reasons giving all the employees two days notice that they were out of a job and all of the families that they had the weekend to find a new place to bring their children so they could go to work on Monday. I was unable to claim unemployment and am out of an income. Here are a few of the kids I had to say goodbye to.

Having fun in the gym
playing hide and seek
doing puzzles
and making friends.
When it is time to clean up
everybody helps
I sure miss these kids already, but I will not forget all they have taught me over the last 6months. I am glad I was able to spend at least that much time here with them.
